Senorita's sidekick was in the kitchen this evening knocking up some Portuguese Beef Stew.

She was not wearing her dungarees this time but her sizzling beef and onions had me drooling anyway

Senorita was on salad duty and her daughter made the rice pudding.

The stew was served with a garnishing of chips which were soft fried to perfection. The rice is some basmati variation

The sweetcorn is mixed in with fried cabbage which was also more delicious than I could ever imagine cabbage being.

This was the most delicious food I have eaten in 2026, and I lavished praise upon the coquettish cook.

My appetite had been whetted by the curiously warm embrace she wrapped me in when I arrived, as she has never hugged me before and her new BF was in attendance.

    Can't beat Portuguese cuisine.

Ronaldo on track to join the hatric brigade tonight chasing the golden boot.

A mother and daughter combo, respecto.

Sardines on toast. Tried it with lime for the first, pretty good result!

^^ A bit stingy on the sardines?

I enjoy tinned sardines in tomato sauce on toast, with maybe a bit of cheese on top and then grilled.

I found a bag of freezer-burnt sprouts in the bottom of the freezer and loathe to throw food away, decided to have three or four with each meal to gradually use them up.

Two nights ago it was a family favourite (when everyone else is away), baked pork chop in apple.

Yesterday I had a load of pork gravy to use up, so fried up some liver and onions before adding the gravy to simmer.

I forgot about my new sprout rule on only the second day.

Our Mitsu fridge was discovered floating after the bkk floods, downstairs in my wife's old place.

Still going strong after 16 years.

It still staggers me they'd put their name to those, but it does explain their quality

£11 for this locally sourced meat mixed grill at a student pub in Sheffield, 8/10 compared to a Spoooons 3/10.

I find it odd that you Brits are so obsessed about posting in these food threads and yet post utter shit time and again, then back slap each other like it is some masterpiece. The bar is below ankle height with you wankers.

There's a full chicken breast under that egg. No idea about the history of the mixed grill or when UK pubs started selling it.

    Seem like an American invention.

'Amazing' is definitely a stretch for that frazzled mess.

    Yet more projection.

You must have heard that at school countless times before they gave up on you, feared for their pass rates and shuffled you out before the Easter holidays.
