Hmmm...
I recognize the veg, the mash with gravy, no idea what that meat is overlapping each other or that strange little cup of weirdness in the top right. You Brits are strange little hobbits.

It's a Yorkie.
And i'm guessing beef and pork steak.
But is that cranberry sauce? where's thr turkey?
One thing to count on is getting pissed up at CCC's place you will eat well. You may not have a clue what he shoves in front of your gob..
But he will get you so knackered you will eat it.
Mustard and Cranberry sauce fusion you heathens
Its beginning to feel a lot like Christmas.....
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.
Picked up some Aussie beef patties in Makro recently. Meat is not of the quality I'd buy in Australia but here in Nan province one cannot be choosy. Anyway decided to make a couple of cheeseburgers and while these may not look the best, went down a treat. Cooked to medium well so there was some caramelization on the outside of the patties. Extra flavour provided by salt/pepper seasoning, tomato and BBQ sauce. So sick of pork...
^ BiP, what did you have for dessert?
Those look great!
Went shopping a couple of days ago at winn Dixie,
Beef tenderloin was on sale $8 per lb
cur it in 24 1 inch thick stakes and vacuum wrap for the freezer and later use , keeping four for cooking today.
and picked up four lobster tails.
separated the lobster meat from the shell and grilled it for 9 min to a 140 F internal temperature, the steaks were rubbed with sea salt and pepper and grilled to an internal temperature of 160 F.
The Wife made the Som Tom , hot going in and hot coming out later on LOL
Surf and turf dinner :
The tenderloin is IMO as smooth as filet minion but with better taste, with A1 sauce and washed down with Land Shark Beer.

^^Seafood and steak work so well together, very nice!
Indeed it does, unfortunately both are often expensive.
What I have done, many years ago , is to purchase a Food saver machine that allowed me to freeze food for a long time, while at the same time keeping it fresh.
Stock picture,(I don't have a picture of mine available right now)
So I look for sales .
The Tenderloin was $8 on sale at winn dixie Normally $15-29 per lb
I bought salmon (farm raised) on sale $4,99 per lb normally $6.99-7.00. I like to buy wild caught for obvious reasons, but the price for this sale was so good I could not resist.
The lobster tails were $ 5.99 each , I bought 4 , I would had bought more but I was not sure if they freeze well (after googling it i discovered that they do) .
So anyway, I recommend the use of a food saver. I use it all the time.
They say , "Idle hands are the devils workshop" and since my retirement and the pandemic, the devil has never been more busy in my house hold. LOL
Still had some syrup left from when I made the honey cookies. ( water, sugar, honey , two oranges cut in half, and a couple of cloves boiled.
The filling: walnuts grinded fine in a food processor, mixed with a little syrup and cinnamon to make a paste.
Wonton skins , place a teaspoon of filing in the middle, pinch the corners and then fold them over to hold while you fry, and deep fry them in peanut oil.
let dry on paper towel, drench them with remaining syrup and sprinkle cinnamon , The were not too bad!!
Patent pending
Lamb rack, mint sauce, baked potato, salad, and even went all Mendip and added peas.
^Perfect.
*Note to self, cook Lamb chops this week*
The kids love them, the missus hates them.
All the more for us!
^ They were so good you ate two chops before you remembered to take the photo!
Having salad with a hot meal like that was something I was introduced to when living in Perth... it must be an Aussie thing.
Although I've got used to it now, when I grew up we never mixed hot meat/veggies and salad together. Lamb chops would be accompanied by potatoes, carrots, mushrooms and of course peas, and maybe a sausage or two. If we had salad it was with cold ham or chicken and maybe a hard boiled egg.
Yep defo an aussie thing. Steak, lamb chops etc with coleslaw ,potato salad etc and must have some spc beetroot. Thats how we roll in perth a side order of peas wont raise any objection either
