HW and Arbers. I've been fascinated with pizzas for a long time. Why the fook are they so expensive?
Started making my own about a year ago, no rocket science necessary.
I'll give you the recipe tomorrow, when my eyes can focus!

Food posts will be up soon
Nige. That gravy reminds me of my dear departed mum's.
A lot of my Yorkshires used to turn out like those, still tasty but I couldn't understand why they weren't 'rising.'
I then realised that the batter was too thick...Less flour and hey presto!
Get the Missus' to give it a go.
For HW and Arbers.
250 gm bread flour
250 gm plain flour
pinch or two of salt
Sieve flour into large bowl.
325 ml tepid water
tsp sugar
Add 5 gm powdered yeast.
Stir and leave for 10-15 minutes.
The yeast should now be activated (foamy looking)
Add 1 tbs of olive oil, mix and pour onto flour.
Mix with wooden spoon (I'm sure all TDers have one!)
Get your hands in and bring it all together.
Cover with damp cloth and wait for about an hour.
It should look something like this...
Thanks Charleyboy, much appreciated. I'll buy the necessities to give this a go over the weekend and try to bake a few bases with no toppings first in case it all goes wrong!. Pics may or may not follow
HW. The hardest thing I found was...Getting the right temp to activate the yeast. If it foams, it will work!
Cheers, I'm gonna try it too!
That alcohol is affecting your eyesight Gravy ,, there is no ketchup on my dinner although the wife prefers it to gravy so yes she has it on her plate.Originally Posted by Gravesend Dave
