Not to be picky, just a bit curious.
Is that a bread roll with carrot, capsicum, coriander, and a long sliced cucumber in it, with no butter, meat, cheese or dressing of any kind?

At a small Asian restaurant in Tennessee. It was in the store where I found the beerlao. A bit pricey at 40usd but I hadn't had any since last January.
The food was ok. I had the pork pad thai.
Yes, Luigi it is, however I do believe there is also cilantro in there as well. She makes a killer peanut sauce. The one on the right. It's the real deal.
It's not a bread roll per say. She calls them spring rolls. The wrappers are rice paper.
At the restaurant one of our party ordered the baa. you know.....
the fish
Miss fish ordered up some deep fried quail. It was pretty good. Also had some "Lap" sp? And spicy papaya salad ( dom bahoon, sp?) along with some pho. "fur" in Laotian.
$40 for a BeerLao christ Fish...still if ya got it go for it.
I bought an Otto in Thailand last time but didn't get a chance to test drive it but its getting a Pizza workout this time and i'll try to do piccies if i can work me phone and post. I am taking with me, Dough Bases, Mozzarella, Cheddar, Puttenesca Sauce for the base and Olives. I also have Jalapenos and Gherkins for some salsa - xmas sorted.
Sounds great. I never made a pizza, sad I know. Miss fish does most 95% of our dinners. No complaints here.
Yes, the beerlao was steep at 43 usd but hey sometimes you've got to treat yourself. I won't tell you what I spent at the liquor store. The Belle Mead was super smooth and had a great finish. By that I mean it really worked, haha.
Not had Mead in 30 years, used to go to a place in Wales near where my mother was born and a pub served it there, not all year but when they did i loved it. Not very common sadly.
That 43usd was for a case of BeerLao. They were not the bigger bottles like I'd get in Laos for 10,000 kip. But what the heck.
The bourbon cost a few brain cells. But who's counting.
I recall there is a 10% state tax in Tennessee. Nothing beats Laos prices. I'd get a case of the 750ml bottles for 100,000 kip. That's about 12 bucks give or take.
There again the plane tickets are like 1400usd so I figured I better have a few cold ones just to make it worthwhile.

Right got it, oh and the Meade is Bourbon - anyway its all good lubrication not that i touch Bourbon or Whisky I tried to like it for years but gave up as its just not my thing, more of a Gin, Vodka or Quila bloke.
What ever gets you through the night, it's alright. Now there's a tune I haven't heard in a while. Beatles were a great band. Anyway the Belle Mead was recommended to me by the guy that took me to a local liquor store down in Tennessee. They had just about everything, I posted a pic in the what r u drinking thread. The only place I've ever been to that lets you sample their wears. Granted they were small samples but samples none the less. All told I had about a shot and a half. One of the gals I was with had three glasses of wine and I could tell. Not a big drinker is she.
Good luck with the car and the pizza.
Luigi, She puts mint and long bean in the spring rolls as well. I just asked her. She getting something together right now, we'll see.
I think Luigi's referring to the banh mi, Fishy. It will almost always have some kind of meat in it (pate or some other kind of pork) along with chili and a bit of soya sauce together with the vegetables and coriander in your pic, and the only time I've ever had it without meat was for breakfast when they put an egg in it.
The "baguettes" themselves contain rice flour leading to a slightly different texture to the superior western versions, but it's still a decent (and cheap) alternative when you're sick to the back teeth of ri and nooden.

Went to the Robin Hood for Father's Day lunch.
Love a gammon steak.
^ that's a regular meal in our household Armstrong.
Made the kids Gammon salad wraps for their packed lunches today, went down a treat.
^^- That baguette look nice and a welcome break from the monotony of rice and noodles.Don't think I've tried the rice flour bread, is it sweeter?
Took a kebab home as a takeaway yesterday. It didn't travel well but as a late night snack it was glorious.
Jeez Armstrong it's too late to take the dog for a walk
A simple cold weather favourite last night... no messing about with food art.
Moo palo. Everything apart from the pork came from the garden!
Followed by sponge cake and hot custard!
I loved the sponge cake. Sadly the girl just couldn't come to grips with her.... along for the ride and all...
So I went out the other night to a well known place her in the states. 5 guys. It was way overpriced as I paid almost $19 for a bacon cheese burger and a small fry with a drink. It really doesn't matter what size fry you order there as the fill the bottom of the bag with hand cut fries anyway so best to order a small. The burger was good but I noticed something after I got home and looked at the pic. Looks like the top of the bun got greased slimed by what I am guessing is the workers glove...
Looks like someones ran their bell-end over that after blowing his load under the cheese
No Nut November just finished. Bet he didn't hold the man relish
Well good thing about Five Guys their cooking process is all out where everyone can see so if the final prep person squeezed one out, everyone would have seen it.
Btw you are right Snubs. Five Guys is way over priced. Probably recouping costs from the free peanuts they offer while you wait.....
The peanuts was a big draw at first I must admit but fucking el. $20 bucks for a burger meal. Shit ya you can pay that down in South lake union but give me a break. Give me some dicks ffs..
