Big C special ..but the baked prawns need beheading and cooking for an extra couple minutes, I like them cooked through.
Squid cleaned, deboned and cut, just put in hot water few minutes to heat up
so, the veg has been incorporated into the sauce then...
naam prik has that disgusting shit pla ra in it. That looks like an ordinary green seafood sauce.Quote:

My bad, no plated shot (started eating, remembered, said fuck it). Was served with wedges, caramelized onions, and gravy.

This is after several bites. Superbly tender pieces of pork. This was slow cooked overnight.
Can't post any pics until I sort out the problem with my computer interfacing with the uploader BUT take it from me, I made some awesome tacos last night with refried beans, ground pork, Monterey jack and fresh salsa.
Ask Bob.
Was missing "home" a bit earlier in the week so made another Malaysian rendang. This time I splashed out on lamb.
The paste ingredients (and some of the others).

Coconut milk, tamarind paste and kaffir lime leaves are in and the rendang's got its dancing shoes on.

It's been a long night and a lot of fucking about, but it's well worth it and will only get better.

This recipe isn't a million miles away from the one I was taught if anyone fancies a bash: Malaysian Lamb Rendang | Easy Delicious Recipes: Rasa Malaysia Beef or chicken are more often used.
Top work as always Hal.
Cheers fella. Give it a go- would love to see your work and comments on the recipe. The lady who gave me this was 70 odd and had learned it from her mum...
