I was a poor, white child who at least twice a week had beans and bacon with cornbread as dinner. Ain't nothing wrong with beans, but just dumping stuff out of a can just ain't right.

Breadcrumbs from Tesco/Lotus's work well with that fish, Mendip.

^ In the UK we use grit for the roads when it gets icy?

Anyway, a much as I'm nervous about getting too verbose in this this thread, nothing more says, 'when Das Kommandant is away, the family will play'.

I'm loathe to say that Das Kommandant spoils the fun for the entire rest of the family, but that's pretty much how it is!

No chips tonight,; a beef soup/broth/stew. Despite many discussions on this thread I still don't know the difference, I just don't seem to retain that information.

I absolutely love the contrast of the green peas against the orange carrots. Back in the 80s I had a green and orange striped shirt that was well cool and I'm sure many still remember. A great colour combination. Imho blah blah... of course...

Red and green should never be seen, except with a colour in between.

I always thought that was 'blue and green'?

But either way, orange and green is just perfect.

After enjoying some Margaritas a bit earlier. Time to fire up the grill

    Ribeye on the grill

Dinner as served. Ribeye, Tater with butter, sour cream with fresh cooked bacon bits and Italian spiced little corn from the market.

Wife came back with these and is determined to cook them even though neither of us have cooked beef in our lives.

Do I just stick some Lee & Perrin's on it?

    Sit for 1 hour.

    S+P
    Brush with olive oil.
Into a searing skillet for 1 minute.
    Turn.
    45 seconds.

Remove and let rest in its juices for 5 minutes.

Is that your big toe bottom right?

But doesn't explain Armstrong's black toenail. Did he stub it? Does he paint his toenails black?
