I have you know that I checked with the Federal Underwriters of Curry Knowledge Unabridged Program (F.U.C.K U.P.) and they confirmed that the above was an accurate representation of a proper curry. In the future I suggest you use more reliable sources for your information .
I have never eaten a dehydrated potato in my life!

Taco night tonight

First prep all the addons. Fresh lettuce, Tomatoes, black olives and fresh grated Tillamook Sharp Cheddar cheese

I prefer a quick deep fry of the corn tortilla. Not crispy mind you, still soft but really brings out the corn taste. In the US I eat them Baja style but here the selection of Tortillas as one can imagine, is thin.

All set. The meat is ground pork with various Mexican seasonings I bring back from the US and of course Tabasco Chili/Habanero sauce and an Ice cold beer to wash them down

Loaded and up. Downed all four.
Brilliant, as ever, JP. I'm out of greens.
Snubs, AO and JP will love this....
...Along with Denny's, a trip to Taco Bell has always been a must on my trips to the States.
My first one was over 30 years ago in Dallas (where Mexican is on every corner) and I was like, wow, you fuckers have this on your doorstep? :smileylaughing:
When I was a kid, I used to eat at Denny's because a few buddies were waiters there. I could usually get a hookup there. It was also a meeting place on the late nights out after the bar closes since it was open 24hours. I bet it has been twenty years since I was in one.
Taco Bell, on the other hand, is shit. :)
I did eat at them when I was a kid. Stoned and or drunk late night munchies Taco Hell is perfect and lots of them are open 24 hours. I will admit to the occasional guilty pleasure of late after being suckered into trying a crunchwrap.
Dilly would be all over both places, like Fat Albert.
:)
Hal, did you ever hit International house of pancakes (IHOP) or Waffle House? If you like Denny's you will love those two places.
Stumps, the night before my kids left for university in the states, now 7+ years ago they cooked up their favorite meal, tacos. We use chicken I take the thighs and pull them with a fork raw, then semi dice it up. Fried up with the spices. I do my corn tortillas the same way as you do as they are just okay. Lettuce, cheese, and my salsa.
You brought back good memories and I found this shot.

Tomcat, here's your wingman when you're next in Seattle!
:smileylaughing:
Waffle House, yes. IHOP no. Did I say that on my last trip to the States my missus was adamant on McDonalds so we did that one night? Not that I can remember any of it - I was blotto talking to a Sri Lankan bloke about cricket, apparently - but even the fast food in the States is something to look forward to. :)
I genuinely do love the country, the people and the food. Not that it will stop me giving a bit out in our banter, mind. :)
I've got to take umbrage with you on this as well. Taco Bell is all over now and whenever I go past one (I don't eat in there apart from my pilgrimage when in the US), I see loads of yanks in there.
Your "guilty pleasure" admission reveals to me that it is a bit more than that too...:)
Btw, what was the other one in the 90s? There was Taco Bell and something else? Another taco chain I'm sure...
So what was your review? You really made a point of hitting those chains.
:chitown:
Taco Hell happens like once a year when I am on the piss, mate. Nothing to get lathered up over. :)
When I eat Mexican, it is taco trucks and family owned Mexican places 99.5% of the time.
The banter is expected and always welcomed, mate. The world would be boring without it. :)
