Looks even better right side up.
Mrs Q has been making me a quarantine breakfast every day. Here's a typical example:

Bowie's breakfasts always look great, but I don't miss that food - rather be in a greasy spoon for a fry up and a mug of tea.
Thai food is great, but the breakfasts are not my thing.
wtf eats those ball things, Tom obviously who has a thing for mystery meat and Chitty. :)
^ did you pop them in already boiling water . I leave the toast whole until i open the egg, if its hard boiled (rarely) i scoop it out mash it on the toast eat it like and open sandwich, if Ok slice it for soldiers; trick i learnt with the kids coz they'd never shut up if the egg was hard and they couldn't dip.:)
^ Yeah, maybe I should get them to room temp next time before putting them in boiling water and guestimating an extra 5 minutes:)
No, cold water, eggs in and 3 1/2 ish minutes from when the water starts to boil usually works for me - large size 4 mins.
2 eggs and a lonely Tom to use up and i've not had a fry up in yonks. Houses Of Parliament off course.

If you like them hard Dill nice.
Buy one of those pop the pot timers if you want it softer.
Work a treat.
Different schools of thought as to the perfect soft boiled.
Bring to a consistent simmer. Slowly emerge the room temp egg[s] to acclimate quickly.
Turn fire/heat off. Allow the egg to sit and cook [as it will continue to] for approx. 2 1/2 minutes.
Lifting the egg to coolish water for about ten seconds, allowing the shell to become temperate so can be handled to crack.
And again....the resulting product and texture of what a "soft boiled" might be will certainly differ from one to the other.
^ Headworx will be along to advise on your methodology shortly
I make soft boiled eggs for the kids at least twice a week. Use shot glasses as egg cups.
I take the eggs out of the fridge to get them up to room temp.
Set the timer on the cooker for 5 minutes and add eggs to a pot of boiling water.
Wait for the beep and take them out.
...and that's it. Never really had a problem with too hard or too runny.

Tell em how it's done....
Is it a myth eggs should never be kept in a fridge?
We used to leave our eggs out of the fridge, but it's so hot in our house that chicks would start developing. A cockerel is with our hens so all of our eggs are fertile.
We definitely keep them in the fridge now.
The egg sellers up country collect them and store them for days at ambient temperatures before distributing them.
Why do fridges have egg trays?
Nothing wrong with a little embryo with one's egg.
Added protein.
Welcome to the real world where things aren't invented for you.
^ No...our icemaker forms perfect cubes. :)
How old is your fridge?

Must admit that it's around 6 or 7 years old.
I'm waaaaayyyyy behind the times on the egg tray front. :)
Gotta dash and churn some butter for the morning.
Well, Jeff can advise me on tomorrows fare, its going to be Bacon and Laverbread, one for HH and the first David. :)
^Yeah he'll be able to advise you on it, and any other subject you could possibly think of as well. Just don't expect him to be able to back anything up with real-world examples he's personally experienced accompanied by pics because he's full of shit and would be fucked without Google
