Ho OhOh,
All our room rates include breakfast.
Our Asian breakfast comprises cut fresh fruit, pork fried rice, pork & vegetable broth and decent tea or coffee. We outsource the rice and broth. Our cost for the whole thing is 130 baht.
Our English style breakfast comprises cut fresh fruit, yogurt, thick toast with real salted butter, jams/honey/peanut butter, pork sausage, potato cake, baked beans, mushrooms sauteed in garlic butter, grilled tomato, herb scented scrambled eggs and decent tea/coffee. Our cost for the whole thing is 170 baht.
I'd estimate the materials cost of a bacon, egg and cheese roll like this at 70 baht.
My weekday breakfast...
Berries with natural yogurt, muesli (sultanas removed) and bran sprinkled on top, and then with added fruit.
Followed by a blood pressure pill washed down with a very small orange juice, and coffee.
To be honest I'm surprised at how quickly I've got used to this and now actually enjoy it... but I'm still looking forward to a bacon sandwich tomorrow morning!

^Nice!.
I went with a pork sausage-bbq sauce roll this morning using the practical yet somewhat controversial method of halving the snags :)

I take it you write the menus out. :)I drooled on my shirt reading that.
This needs some work though...
Liptons and Nescafe 3 in 1 spring to mind:)

You have more calories in that than Headworx' sausage bap:)
Decision time

Very healthy but tasted like shit compared to a bacon butty☺?
Dilly that's nuts but I like it. In fact some on the bored may even be envious if you told them you ate a little kiwi, nuts and all. Looks like you even had some Brazilian nuts as well. You do call them Brazilian nuts don't you? I've heard a few darker connotations on that type of nut.
Hell, the other day I felt a little Chinese.......then she slapped me.
fish:rolleyes:
One of miss fish's ways to keep me smiling. https://teakdoor.com/images/imported/2020/02/259.jpg
Can't post the others.
^And you'd know all about pretending wouldn't you
Bacon and egg muffins for elevenses it is then.
^^ Is that maple on that bacon, Fish? Hmmm. Might ditch the egg and get out the faux syrup:)
Dillinger are you still eating those dodgy Almonds.......
Sh*t Dill, didn't see this post till now.
Upstairs in the kitchenette we supply Nescafe Red Cup coffee, Gold Ovaltine and Twinings English Breakfast and Yellow tea bags. Plus raw sugar, proper milk and some type of artificial sweetner. I will not have any two/three/four in one satchel in the house. Upstairs the guests serve themselves any time they want.
With breakfast we offer Nan province coffee in a plunger (we grind the beans to order) and tradition tea, green tea and jasmine tea in proper tea pots.
Very posh:)
Now time for Elevenses:)

Shall start with the Brit one and have the Yankee concoction for pudding
https://teakdoor.com/images/imported/2020/02/272.jpg
A solid 9 for the English version...
I'm gonna call it a Tie, the Yankee one even could have been improved upon with crispier bacon.
They went together like Trump and Boris :tumbs:
^^ In my defense, I was enroute to work one time last year and realised I'd forgotten to pack a coffee mug... they only have stupidly small little cups on the boat I've been working on. My last chance to get one was at Starbucks at Suvarnabhumi departures, so that's what I did. It wasn't cheap either.
I wish I could find a proper red Nescafe mug like they drink out of on the tv news.
Anyway, I had to stop off at the Bangkok Hospital on the way back from the school run this morning for a few odds and ends, and while waiting I had laarb moo in the canteen for breakfast.
Even though I asked for 'pet nit noi', it still had me snorting like a horse after 3 minutes.
But all for 30 Baht... I may stop off every morning!

If that's how you choose to rationalise it... However, I like to think a man of your calibre still feels some doubt... :)
Now, back to food (should this be in in the Manwich thread rather than the Brunch thread?)

&, a cup of Yorkshire tea to prove it's breakfast.
Haha... :)
That's my pet chimpanzee, she stole some of my sausage... I cooked 3 sausages, to be split into the sandwiches 3 halves a sandwich (take note Luigi!), but she stole one and put it into her Thai noodles. After eating half (without my permission I hasten to add), she decided she didn't like it and gave me half back. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
You remind me that I haven't yet punished her for her behaviour, so I will dip my magic wand into her bedside water; after she has drunk it, I will let her know what I did and why! A risky strategy, but always amusing despite the inevitable beating I will suffer! :)
Betts, tap your todger on her nose when she's asleep, little gestures that keep the marriage alive.
Good advice.
Gets the nose wrinkling, sweet FP.:)
^ she deserves more; resistance to her charms is futile...
Maybe not on your Breakfast Menu, but, apparently it is a 'thing' ...
