Used to love proper bacon grilled and crispy, difficult to find the thick stuff nowadays.
^The shop I get bacon from has the whole slabs, forget the names for the different cuts but streaky and middle back come to mind?. They'll slice it to any thickness asked for. Will get a pic next time, which is only ever a few days away.

Not quite to the same level as headworx's breakfast of champions, but not bad either.
^ Still living in Mussieland mate? Is that a beef sausage?:)
Yeah, I was gonna ask about the sausage. It's a decent breakfast though, I'd do it some harm in seconds... (I'd probably need two of them to fill me between breakfast and lunch.)
Looks like one mushroom sliced up and 2 cherry tomatoes. After your appetizer what did you really eat for breakfast?:)
I may go on this Keto diet just because it seems to encourage me to eat all the foods i like and ignore all the medical advice to the contrary...if not i am going to have to put HW on ignore coz i cannot keep waking up to pictures of bacon and eggs daily.
^No bacon tomorrow or till going back to a purveyor of porcine products. It'll be scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and avocado, which is almost as good :)
Four scrambled eggs on one thin slice of toast.
Washed down with a whey strawberry milkshake.
^ Now that does look good!
I brought myself back a decent saucepan from the UK specially for scrambled egg. You've just motivated me to Christen it!
^As much as I hate him, find Gordon Ramsey's vid on cooking scrambled eggs on YouTube. I don't use creme fraiche at the end as he does, but do everything else exactly the same. Perfect results every time.
^ Get to Cold Storage or Jaysons:)
Back to the healthy diet for me too

Berries, natural yogurt and a sprinkling of oats for me this morning!

Toast with my new-found delicacy

^Lol, just thinking the same. They're the ones for making biscuits.
^ Aaahh... that may explain something...
I'd better go and read the label!
^I bought some myself ages ago, thinking it was the normal "porridge" oat type. Take ages to cook, and normally used in cookies, granola or muesli type meals.
Still got a big unused bag in the kitchen cupboard. :)
What a terrible page of food... :)
Some of you are feeling guilty of your Xmas/New Year excesses by the look of things. :smileylaughing:
Hey PH have you ever seen this old old American comedy sketch. Thanks for reminding me...

Late breakfast for me today on account of spending an horrendous hour in the dentist chair having a crown fitted and my teeth whitened.

Beef and egg for entree.
10km round the lake for the main.
^ I see that poacher is working well:smileylaughing:
Currently sitting in the bin.
Nice breakfast and the beef looks reasonably priced too.
Not bad, diversifying from sweet, droolicious fried bacon with me eggs nowadays in the form of beef, shrimp or salmon.
