    ^ Forget him.
I had Thanksgiving dinner. Turkey, dressing, mashed, tons of gravy, corn, cranberry sauce, sweet potato pie with whipped cream. The fam hates anything exotic so no nifty extras. Good enough. I was full. And content.

Baked potatoes, bacon and beans. Flatulence city, but tasty. Dog, biscuits and 1/2 can of Chum with an egg.

Last night Joy made a delicious Mossman (sic) green chicken curry with rice. Lovely jubbley.

Well, there was a bit left over. The real bonus was that there was a load of chicken left over which she'd bbqd.

Tonight we took the left over curry, chucked in the left over chicken, added some water and stirred. Chucked it in the micro for a bit.

Then, microd a spud till tender.

Then grated cheese on the curry stuff. Cut up spud and added more cheese.

Microed a bit then let let rest. Bloody good stir, a splash of chilli sauce, stir.........

    Yum yum.

Had chicken breast stuffed with Stilton, thinly sliced olives and cheddar, in the oven for 25 mins under a film of olive oil, with peppered broccoli & mushrooms cooked in oyster sauce and garlic.

    It was spankin'!

    Spag bog....my own secret recipe.

Preceded by a roast beef and wholegrain mustard, lettuce and cheese sandwhich.

But followed by half a block of hazelnut chocolate.

Previously put these on The Lunch thread.

    They were evening dinners though.

Small chicken stuffed and roasted slowly.

Served up with a few boiled potato's, broccoli, carrots, (grown in Flobo's vegetable patch) cauliflower, stuffing and a light gravy.

    Nearly forgot..Apple pie and custard.

Flobo made a steak casserole or stew, doesn't really matter how you refer to it. It was good.

OK Flobo defrosted some nice lumps of diced braising streak and cut up a few onions, (I love onions) some lentils and a double measure of barley.

These all went into the casserole pot and she put it in the oven set at 180 fan assisted for about four hours, maybe four and a half, nice and slow cook.

You can see the rain through the window as well.

No window or rain on this one to distract your attention.

She boiled a few potato's, warmed a few of those fresh garden carrots and cooked some cabbage.

Normally she would make me a couple of dumplings with a meal like this.
However, I have to get some weight off, which has been a curse this last seventeen months since I stopped smoking.

I'm going to have to knuckle down to it now though, instead of keeping talking about it.

    The finished product.

I confess to having 'seconds' and there's enough left to warm up for tomorrows lunch.

    Really tasty.

Bit too far gone to post last night.
So. We had roast turkey, candied yams, mashed potatoes with gravy, stir-fried broccoli and bok choy with oyster sauce and dao jeaw, green salad, pasta salad with tortellini, feta cheese, klamata olives, mushrooms, fresh oregano, and assorted other salad-type vegetables dressed with a lemon & olive oil; cranberry sauce, home made sourdough bread, some chilean red, kentuckian Wild Turkey and a ten-year old port.

    Tonight? What else? Turkey stew.
No photos this time, I was kinda busy puttin all that together. Think the ol lady tried to snap a few shots, but I kept chasing her outta the kitchen.
