Special K is my fav cereal and cheese whiz is what makes a philly cheese steak special.
Sorry, thread drift with a serious post.
^ Shredded Wheat and Weetabix are the two cereals I eat; both are good for those suffering from diabetes as they have little sugar, salt or fat content.
^ That used to be the joke about cornflakes back in the 1960's.
And that stuff hasn’t changed since the 60s either
[QUOTE=Shutree;4627891]Like every country, they have some damn fine food. Steaks, seafood, wine. Sadly, people cannot afford to eat that, so they consume vast amounts of vile processed food. It is sad.[/QUOTE
You got a point here!
Everything is oversized as well from what I remember living in the US a few times. It has changed a bit now, but there used to be buffets in most restaurants where here in Canada, we only had a few of them. I really think there is no such thing as American/British or Canadian food these days. I mean most of the people are from another country. Like in England, most people eat Indian food and now call it their own. We here in Canada, eat burgers, fries, chicken etc all the stuff they eat in the US.
I can't really think of an American food that is truly American.. what fries and burgers? I am at a loss. Here in Canada, we don't really have much of our own food either, just eat tons of foods from other countries. lol
I present to you classic American excess. The twelve egg omelet at Beth's cafe...
^^ I’m so hungry now! Crab eggs Benedict. Wow.
It is at that so I will join the fray. The thread in general is dumb but what kind of banter are you looking for Hal? That you are a pisshead that drinks shit beer, eats food you can suck through a straw and watches the most ridiculous sport Soccer where they stand around and watch each other kick a ball to play keep away? That kind of Banter?
As for American food, we can all find clips of utter shit garbage fat asses eat and they seem proud. I personally seldom eat commercial fast food as it never appealed to me albeit a good burger and fries or pizza are great and as MK said, much of it is regional. I don't eat breakfast so that eliminates cereal. Just a nice big glass of fresh squeezed OJ.
I agree with MM in that I am not sure what American food really is. I grew up in a Sicilian family so we ate that style cuisine every day and it was outstanding.. I guess we could argue maybe Turkey on Thanksgiving. The rest is fusion food of sorts from other countries. Regardless people eat too much because its fast and convenient and it shows and I suspect Hal is a fat ass as well.![]()
Oh my! Does someone eat that at one sitting? Crazy! lmao
I was watching a vlogger last night and he was in Vegas. He was at that Heart Attack Grill and tried to eat all of this 20,000 calorie Octuple burger in record time. Apparently the restaurant weighs you when you walk in and if you are over 350 pounds you get to eat free. I mean really? I guess the US is still a country of supersized portions.
Maybe Topper or Bsnub could finish one of these off in less than 4 mins.

With respect, I honestly think you both do know what it is, but you'd rather not dwell on it.
The Overconsumption of Ultra-Processed Foods in the United States - Ballard Brief
^Let's be real, it isn't just the USA that eats ultra processed food, Cyrille.
I mean obesity rates are high not just in the US, but many other countries including Britain.
Let's be real. We are speaking about super sized foods, buffets, and fast foods/pop popular in the US. I mean unlike the Brits, Canadians/Americans don't eat mushy peas much, or steak pies (we do like fish and chips however), and we also don't eat as much Indian food as it isn't as popular as it is in Britain.
I've lived in both places, and really didn't love the food in either. I prefer Greek, Italian, Mexican, Turkish, Middle Eastern, etc..
Let's be real?
OK.
The fact is that people in the USA eat far more processed and ultra processed food per person than people anywhere else in the world.
And your response is that Brits eat more Indian food than Canadians?
I mean, really?
Is that it?
Did you lose your train of 'thought' there or something?![]()
^Cy, have you lived in Canada and the US? Ok, I have, as well as Britain, so I am speaking from my time living in those countries, capeche? okay then.
I mean there is an Indian restaurant on every corner in the UK aaaand.. hate to say it, but I've eaten better Indian in Korea (at an Indian restaurant), just sayin..
All you have to do is look at Armstrong's pics in the dinner thread. He eats all almost entirely processed food.
Did you just pull that out of your ass, or do you have a link to back that up?
When we just look at TD and the food posters show on the board it is by far the Brits who have the most unhealthy diets with lots of frozen/proccessed food. What Americans on here are posting up pics of processed foods?
It always seems its the ones who have never been here that become experts on America.
