You can believe what you want. I suppose you harvest your own mussels , bake your own bread ? Knock up the chilli sauce yourself ? It's all about convenience..And Taste.

actually the fookers were tiny. the last ones i got were huge, bit disappointing but as its still a holiday tomorrow gonna keep the sauce and get some fish and prawns and ive still got a lobster in the freezer. knock up some kinda seafood soup thingo. gonna need some more packaged garlic bread too

The only real surprise with my salmon, barramundi and shrimp pie was that the carrots were still rock hard. I will parboil them next time.
There were no more surprises as I then had a spoonful of fish pie every night for dinner this week. Either neat, with peas and even with cauliflower.
One cooking session, four meals. That can't be bad.
Sadly the bulk cooking of fish pie is the only area where my life style overlaps with Looper's.

I usually boil the carrots at the same time as the potatoes and chuck the carrots in to the FPS pot at the end since I do not have an actual 'pie' stage.
I was going to remark that this is a timely reminder to keep my hand in get my fish pie finger out since it must be a couple of years since I have done a batch.
But then I see from the thread that I apparently made fish pie only 8 months ago, of which I have worryingly no recollection.
