Would still be very interested to see home-taken pics of this local beef next time someone buys some..
Anyone ever bought meat from Au Bon, visited yesterday phew prices are stupid in there
Snub, you will be banned from posting anything about Thailand soon.
GoFundMe a camera phone + True sim with monthly data
something wrong with the Facebook page I posted, to let Thai based members see the products they sell?
First problem is what businesses put photos of and what they're actually selling is often 2 different things, especially in Thailand. 2nd problem is their pics are typically of MS 5+ meat that would be thousands of Baht per kg. Again, I'd like to see pics taken of their product taken at home by someone here and the price revealed, just as I've done in this thread.
As I posted Two T.Bones cost 270 baht, one was 300 gram, the other 295 gram
I will post a photo next time i go back.
whilst I visited Au Bon yesterday and they where selling same sort of steak with similar marbling and they where charging 280 for one.

I do apologise, next time I go out I will make sure, I take my mobile everywhere I go just to take photos for TD.
and if you read your own posts that i remarked on,that the marbling wasn't anything like the photo you posted.
Note to oneself Carry Mobile everywhere you go, then again fuck that, once outside the home fuck work
Calm down, people are only suggesting that you back up your thread with pictures - the thread isn't some intellectual debate, its about food and its always best to look at what you are discussing - or do you disagree?
I don't really put much importance on Photos, Though if its your favourite past time, I respect your right to do so.
As i said if its a problem for you, I will post the next time I visit.
Picked up my 6.4kgs of Grainge Ribeye in BKK. Will end up with about 12 to 14 steaks after I cut and seal them. I'd guess each steak will amount to about 800 bht or so.
Info about Grainge Angus beef
Grainge Angus Beef originates from the fertile Riverina region of NSW, where specially selected Black Angus cattle are fed a grain based diet for 120 – 150 days. Coming from one of the best grazing areas in Australia the Grainge Certified Angus program ensures quality and consistency throughout the whole process.
^Post a pic when you slice it up please, looking at pics of quality meat is food porn.
Many Americans vocally favor their USDA, corn fed steak. I can understand that- it is great, although in my case there are other steaks I fancy equally as much. It does seem aussie beef is the main imported beef of choice in Thailand, I would surmise based on price and availability. But is corn fed US beef available in Thailand for a half decent price, or do you have to pay thru' the nose for it?
It is available and at a similar price. However it does not import here often and that is the problem. Seems much easier for Thai businesses to acquire Aus beef easier and faster. Having enjoyed USDA beef for years, I honestly have to say that the Grainge beef is darn near the same. Its outstanding quality and taste
It sure looks good- which generally means it is good!
I am a knife porn guy. What did you use to cut that bad boy up with? I got this sent to me from a buddy who lives in Japan...
Made in an old forge by a master who learned from Samurai sword makers. The thing will cut through just about anything as long as it is sharpened regularly, which I do with imported Japanese whetstones. Which happen to be the best in the world.
