Baked some chicken drumsticks today, first rubbing onto them a paste of paprika, onion, garlic, cumin, coriander and chilli powder and olive oil.

Had some with the homemade sweet chilli sauce.

Did Armstrong come round? :)
I believe we Yanks call the leg the drum stick. A much larger piece than the wing, which I for one call a wing
So you are calling those wings?
We call em drumsticks to in Oz
Lower part of the leg I call the drumstick, upper part the thigh. Drumstick and thigh in one piece, the leg.....:)
No, not seen Armstrong, though I believe he planned to come to Phuket at some time. Thinking of stripping the meat off the remainder drumsticks and having it on bread rolls for supper.
Inspired by PAGs chicken drumsticks...
I had 2 kilos of them in the freezer that I purchased for the princely sum of 50 pence last week.
Marinated over night then 45 minutes in the oven and Roberts your fathers uncle..

^ I think that a well cooked chicken drumstick takes some beating.
Yours look pretty good as well, mate! :)
Only kidding... I could murder that right now!
As it's vegetarian festival season, stalls seem to pop up everywhere to the point that you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere serving meat. M'Sahib just in, and there's a stall just outside our village. These are sausages made from taro, and have an almost ground nut like consistency and taste. A spicy sauce makes them quite edible though.

Thighs are my go to bit of the bird, chicken noms are a bit boring but the drumsticks and wings cooked slowly in the oven put a grin on the shark biscuits dial. Sometimes I go all Hollywood and have chicken marylands
You should have come over here for lunch... because as the saying goes, only real men eat quiche.
I've still got this awful flu thing so it was a horizontal slice of cheese and bacon quiche in front of Netflix.

He gets plenty of peas
Clearly he does but he seems like a sickly fella. Back, colds, rashes...etc. That amazing odd English skill of eating peas with the fork tines down while balancing them is funny as hell. Maybe it helps his motor skills and they use it in mental institutions to mess with the patients. oddest thing I ever heard. Why make a fork with angled tines then? Them UK lot are an odd bunch. Its like the Chinese, you know they have seen the spoon. :)
Pea'n'ish Envy
Not had a burger for a while, so defrosted some Aussie minced beef in the freezer. Mixed in some ground crackers, chopped red onion, a raw egg and some dry herbs to make the patty.

Toasted the insides of the bun whilst the burger was resting.

Mixed some garlic mayo and sweet chilli sauce together, and spread top and bottom on the bun. Patty sitting on some sliced Chinese cabbage, topped with melted mozzarella and sliced red onion.

There will be another one of these coming soon methinks.

Mc pags. I rarely eat burger king and McDonald's because it just not enjoyable and it's become expensive here the kids like it but there's no change out of $50. So I don't treat them to it much . What you just posted would be a crowd pleaser for sure. Thanks for the info

^ that is a very fine looking burger; close to perfection.
These scotch eggs were briefly deep fried to "seal them off" (whatever that means) then finished in the air fryer.

^ I agree, that's a damn nice burger.
