Celery thing is all the rage here with the Thai girls, just a media fad.

Changed my eating habits to this...
. Breakfast has long been touted as the most important meal of the day—even if some choose to skip it. And lately, it seems more and more research has jumped on the breakfast bandwagon with a recent study coming from Tel Aviv University and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

The 12-week study examined two groups of 93 obese women who were restricted to a daily 1,400-calorie diet consisting of a balance of carbohydrates and fats. Each group’s diet split those calories differently among three meals throughout the day: Some women were assigned to consume 700 calories at breakfast, 500 calories at lunch, and 200 calories at dinner, while the numbers were reversed for the other group (200 at breakfast, 500 at lunch, 700 at dinner).

All the 700-calorie meals consisted of the same food—dessert included—regardless of whether they were consumed at breakfast or dinner. (Yes, that means the breakfast group kicked off the morning with a slice of chocolate cake or a cookie—which beats a bowl of sugary cereal, in our opinion.)

After three months of monitoring their diet and health, the big-breakfast group participants lost the most weight, dropping about three inches off their waistlines and shedding an average of 17.8 pounds. The big-dinner group only lost an average of 1.4 inches from their waistline and 7.3 pounds. Researchers linked beginning the day with a high-calorie meal to an overall decrease in insulin, glucose, and triglyceride levels and a potentially lessened risk of developing cardiovascular disease, diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol.

Researchers honed in on a key hormone impacting both groups: ghrelin, which regulates hunger. They saw lower levels of the hormone in the big breakfast group, along with less snacking throughout the day compared with the big dinner group. Researchers endorsed a high-calorie breakfast followed by a gradual tapering of calories from lunch to dinner as an approach to combat obesity and work with the body’s natural metabolic circadian rhythm.

Now, the only question that remains: Where can we score a slice of chocolate cake at 8 AM?

Sorry Dill, I have given lots of thought to this. I smoke and a like a few beers, or a glass of red with my dinner. Just can't get into all this healthy eating stuff at my time of life.

I did attack the salad that came with the steak bevause the salad dressing was good. Magners cider to wash it down

^ fair play to you mate.
Another 5 kilos and I will be out buying steaks and lamb and cheesy wotsits: and necking back Thatchers cider instead of apple cider vingar)
Will still eat mainly healthily though. The regular exercise was the main part which I've sorted out now.

    Bon appetit

Wine is good and a lot less calories than beer and San Mig light isn't any worse than Leo, carlsberg, Heineken and Singha here

As mentioned, I'm counting carbs not calories at the moment and this is about as Keto friendly as it gets. Lamb chops (untrimmed) with garlic-mash punkin, coconut cream spinach with garlic and onion stir-fried in coconut oil, and steamed bok choy. A few squares of Lindt 85% cocoa chocolate with a coffee for desert too!. It's not a big meal but it's my only main meal today after a few eggs for brekie, just snack on cheese, smoked salmon, and cherry tomatoes for the rest of the day now if need be (doubtful) 'cause you lose your appetite when doing Keto.

^ I'd be eating up those leftovers too...

Cooking up an early dinner then it'll be out for a 5km walk in the evening once the heat and humidity drops down.

    Steam some chicken breast:

A bit of pepper (not too much...) and mixed herbs).

    Chop up some salad...

I don't know why people steam chicken breasts, I think they're much tastier grilled or done in the air fryer.

I don't have an air-fryer or grill, so I add herbs and pepper when steaming; fish tastes better than chicken that way. It's true that chicken generally can be a bit boring, I'm gonna buy some fish and steam it for the next few days.

No idea what Bintang is calorie wise. I'm back up to 75kg after my de-tox in the lost world. Moving house next week. Just found a great pork butchers, right next to a bottle shop by coincidence. The butchers deliver too.

I need to buy one of those Otto convection ovens and start cooking joints.

Actually, what I really need to do is find a pool and a gym near my new place. lol

As luigi noted, it's...odd that two threads like this have been started by two posters who've been clinically obese for two decades.

Knocked off 2 kg in July.

    More exercise, fewer calories.

Why make a big fcuking show about it?

I'd imagine there's not much veg growing in the sandpit and your main source is like Luigis, a bag of frozen mixed.

Works out to about 150 Baht per 250gr Ribeye, which are about 500 calories each (yes I've done the whole calorie counting thing before too). Bottom line is, if you can't enjoy a nice steak on whatever diet you're on, fuck it off and find one that you can.
