    You can get by without a hot capable blender if you only have a normal one. I make a really thick Pumpkin and Carrot soup once in a while and get it to the stage that it's ready for blending, then let it cool down to room temp (about 40 mins) before doing so. A few laps in the microwave after that and it's good to go, doesn't seem to affect the flavour. Just saying...

    Has a certain presence about it, Charles. Can you leave it in the oven for a tad longer next time. I like it darker brown in colouring, not unlike my erm, ..... girlies.
