Looking south from the top of the steps to the Bogey Hole at Newcastle. The oldest of all the ocean baths on the New South Wales Coast, the current Bogey Hole is a larger version of a bathing pool dating from the 1820s. Like most of the NSW ocean baths, this public pool is unsupervised and free-to-use.

The Bogie hole aka Bogie hole is apopular swimming cove walking distance of CBD where freighter Pasha Bulker was stranded last year just S of Nobby's the mouth of the Hunter
