As an aside - Alexander Selkirk was rescued by a Captain Rogers ( a Bristol "Blackbirder"- aka slave trader!) who was my Great Great ( not sure how many Greats!) uncle on my mothers side.
Used to ship slaves from polynesia to the mines in Chile !!!
