    It is a Victorian pump house for a dry dock at Bristol I think.

    I have seen the bugger but can't remember where !

    I was brought up in Croydon which is the only other place in UK to have an atmospheric railway as far as I know

    You've got it right though.

    Railway station at Starcross.

    The base of the tower is now used by the Starcross Sailing club to store dinghies and stuff. Gets broken into once a month. Shit hole of a club, and a lousy mooring on the River Exe.

    It was a vaccum system - the trains were sucked along- my uncle Bill rented part of the Totnes depot to repair tractors in the 50's!!
