The Tower, Starcross, Devon

LOL. very good but what is it?Originally Posted by Thetyim

Very good and what is it now?
I was brought up in Croydon which is the only other place in UK to have an atmospheric railway as far as I know
Museum to the railway
Struggle, spin, turn on the end of the rope................
You've got it right though.
Railway station at Starcross.
The base of the tower is now used by the Starcross Sailing club to store dinghies and stuff. Gets broken into once a month. Shit hole of a club, and a lousy mooring on the River Exe.
Over to you. Well done.
Hang on
"Note that the Brunel pumphouse now houses the Starcross Fishing and Cruising Club rather than a museum dedicated to the atmospheric railway, as quoted in many guide books."

If so then is it something to do with his Atmospheric Railway that ran from Exeter to Newton Abbot ?
SHIT TOO LATE !!!
Here's an idea.........
If you get the answer right you've got to show / post your source. Wiki or whatever. Just adds to the learning curve, wot.
