Luck plays a part for sure, but tactics/method/technique is also important if you want to succeed. Changing only one letter when there are seven possibilities leaves the chances of success up to luck. There are better ways.

It is interesting. I have settled on a strategy approach. My first four words cover 19 letters. Means i get it about 95% of the time, but it is always (with rare exceptions) on go 5 or 6, as seen above. A different approach gives you the chance of a correct guess on go 2, 3 or 4.

Now, just personally, i do not understand how you can go from one incorrect position letter on the first go to all correct on the second, especially on this word which has several problematic aspects. But, there you go, maybe i am just not inspired enough.

I don't know how I did it either, no strategy just take a guess, I knew one letter was an "a" so the next word needs and "a" and that's what happened. People who play safe may not lose as often but where's the fun in that?

On the other hand Kunts are a bit harder to find unless you come on TD then they are everywhere.

In today's case the first letter could have been C W L P H B or M so you are (I believe) suggesting you should use a word containing as many of those letters to either identify or eliminate them even though you know it won't be the answer?

And if luck is on your side, you might even hit the jackpot with the position.
