Haha yeah those are just strange. In hockey , they say "slow the player up" and "slow the player down" and they both mean the same thing.

But I was thinking of the word sanction. To sanction is to penalize and to authorize. I've used the words with both meanings before but never really realized how strange it is.

Fingerprinting, for example. One might also dust a cake, probably with sugar rather than actual dust.
