I'm going to Ko Samet for a few days next week - prepare for another CE trip report extravaganza without photos!

Yes, of course. When I move to Patumtani, we will meet often and do not tell me that you get bored until you wanna get rid of me.

    Hehe.

No you didn't tell me that but I know now, thanks! When I speak properly I say that word right but I just speak so quickly and I have a crap accent but it's all good.

    Welcome to the jungle!

Nothing really. I just thought a whole thread on it may tell me something I didnt know.

Maybe a bit unreasonable of me, I have been there three times before.

Well, I've just come back from a week on Koh Samet and it was lovely.

When my friends send me the pics I will post some. (If Marmite shows me how)

I'm going to see how much DD is going to pay me for being a full-time TD Nanny.

Okay I want to go to Samet the 12 13 and 14 of May. I used to stay at SametVille on Ao Wai and loved it but the food sucks. Now it seems the rates for accomodation have gone up a alot.

Any ideas of where to stay with the wife and 8 year old twins. Say in the 1200 to 1500 baht a night range. All I need is a clean room and a good air/con.

Well a bit more expensive is Samed Villa at Ao Phai.

The bungalows are lovely and have a double and single bed and another long bench bed with mattress which would be room enough for a child.

You could sit on the balcony and keep an eye on the girls on the beach.

We paid 2,300 a night but that was high season Songkran rates.

The place has beautiful gardens with shady trees and it is really well kept. Fridge and tea and coffee making and quite a good restaurant with plenty of others nearby.

The problem is the rate I have to pay would be the same as you. As they charge a 200B surcharge for Fri. Sat. night. Staying for 3 nights would put me big time over budget. But damn it looks so nice, I will give them a call.

The kids still love Pattaya so thats the nice backup. Well not Pattaya, Cosy Beach.
