    Question Really Unusual/Unique Temples

I'm looking for recommendations for really unique or unusual Buddhist temples in Thailand. I already have a few on my list.

Wat Sala Kaew Koo - Nong Khai

Wat Chedi Hoi - Pathum Thani

Wat Phai Rong Wua (hell temple) - Suphanburi

    Wat Lan Khuat - Sisaket

What other temples should be on the list and why?

    Thank you.

I have visited this temple on many occasions and it is truly beautiful. I don't know why I forgot to include it in my original post.

    ^ Now we're talking.
These temples all look the same to me
But if you're into culture rather than Smug and his cunture, then this is a good site, just click on any area of the map of Thailand and it shows you all the temples, with photos and some history

    wat pai long wua,

take a river boat from bangkok for the 3 hour trip to this fantastic kitsch disneyland wat in suphanburi.

Wat Pai Rong Wua Temple Wat thai Thailand

We would like to introduce you to a take a trip to hell!!! It is a good opportunity for all of you who might have forgotten about what you will get if you do bad things.

The temple was built in 1926 in Bang Taten District.

Having been built for almost 20 years, Wat Pai Rong Wua or Buddhist Hell Park displays a depiction of Buddhist hell. Here tourists can see what will happen to you in the afterlife if you perform certain bad deeds.

When in the parking area, tourists will be able to see a gigantic white Buddha image. It is the biggest Buddha image in the world.

Nearby, there are also the biggest gong and biggest alms-bowl in the world.

Choa Mae Tuptim shrine in Bangkok.

Not actually a temple, but weird/unusual all the same.
The shrine is behind the Nai Lerk Park Hotel and is full of penises (is that the plural of penis?) of all shapes and sizes.
Not somewhere you would go on your 1st date mind you.

This is the 1st link I got from Google...The Phalic Shrine: Thai Temple of the Penises - Softpedia

Be careful if strangers come up to you in the grounds of the shrine and introduce themselves as "butterfly" or "bettyboo" BTW.
    Black diamonds? I shit 'em.

You could always pop along to Burma to see its unusual shaped temples/ruins. Over 2000 of them and almost all are different. Round base, pointed at the top, bell shaped towers, etc.

As for Thailand, the only one i know would be unique would be the white temple in Chiang Rai and Wat Phra That Phanom in That Phannom - Issan or Wat Phu Tok in Bueng Kan Province. I posted some pics back in 2009.
