I was a bit worried too. When we got into Bangkok, I noticed a red light next to the odometer was flickering when I opened her up. I assumed it was something to do with low oil pressure, so I stopped at a gas station and topped the oil up.

Yesterday I found out that the Japanese model has a red warning light to tell you that you are exceeding 80kmph. A bit gay, but there you go.

^ It gets worse. In cars they put a maddening dinging alarm in the speedo.

Car accident....you can envisage the slow motion scenes of movies and all the damage erupting around you....yet walk away unscathed.

    Job done well.

You want to be careful with that; too much oil's just as bad as not enough. Worse in some instances.

Luckily, there's a little window in the sump so you can see how much oil it's got.

    What about Rigger's Beull abomination?

I can probably sort out a mountain trip with Honda CB500s or 750s. A much better bike for twisty stuff than those Harleys.

Ned won't need a Buell or a Harley if Marmite is leading the pack. One of these should do.

This is sounding more interesting. A member cross-country outing....this would be a hoot!
