The queue to metered taxis has always been fast and no trouble for me.
But if you go out some of the other entrances there are lurking taxis who wants 500 for a fare to Sukumivit.
Never do it any other way...... Never had a problem other than a request for a fixed price which has been politely denied. At that point I leave or they turn on the meter.
Except that evidently it's "safer" to take it from the correct area as you get a receipt with the driver's number etc. By the way, a tip for females moving around at night and needing a taxi is to go to a 4-5 star hotel lobby (if possible) and ask the bellman to hail a taxi. He'll record the number of the cab in the concierge logbook and give you a slip of paper in case you have problems. The pick-up is probably also on CCTV. Make sure you have a tip in hand.
Oh shit yes I must agree,
When I Jewed down the Taxi for a cheap fare it was at drop off and he really got his money back in the scare factor driving me into Town.
Just pay the correct money at the Taxi stand and bolt off to where you want to go. No probs what so ever.
Too easy innit.
Look, one cannot argue with the above post as its true Innit.
Ain't nothing wrong with Mongering tourists as its a part of life but when the mongering scum start crying about the price of a taxi fare into Monger Central its a bit of a giggle.
I mean fok me EH.
The mongers pay more for a few lady drink's than a taxi from Swampy so who gives a fuk EH. ??????
Foking Nana Eh,
Throttlers fly 15 hours across the world to meet there favorite bar girl and they crack the shits about a taxi fare.
Mongering scum you prick and establish your facts first knob
i go up to departures and hop a cab they want to get out of the joint
And the hilarious or maybe sick part is the OP and his pals are the kind of scum, where 3 of them will wait in the room while one goes out and barfines a lady and brings her back to share with his scummy pals and expects the lady to service them all for the same price, Russians, Indians, Arabs all have been known to pull this rather slimy trick.
Bit strong Earl, the guy says he has his wife with him. Quite probably the other two are children.
I know most of you couldn't afford it but Nana does have the JW Marriott and the Landmark you know......
Seems to me that people assume Nana only means the Entertainment Plaza..... What does that sy about them?
^oops I missed the part that his wife was with him,
Anyway carry on y'all.

That's it. The Ambassador is a great hotel right there just booked a special rate in a few months. Also stay at Adelphi, stone's throw from soi Nana. I like to start drinking after lunch and not have a late one, there is a bar just up from the oussy area that has 60bt happy hour drinks all day. Any drink, I asked what was a black label as red was 60bt, she said 60bt everything. Brilliant.Originally Posted by Rigger
Gotta say though, walking from the hotel to this bar, cutting across soi 6, it's hard walking alone past the BJ bar.
