^& ^^ That is correct, but i recommend it to my guests, as well as Coral Bay ( the next bay towards Chaweng) because they are a lot cleaner and more relaxing, than the long stretches of beach at both Lamai and Chaweng. And still only 5 to 10 minutes from my resort.
I was wondering did that " thai Winebago " come with air ?
Nicely done rooms Gus. If I reluctantly get coerced to visit Samui after all these years, I would certainly prefer a place like yours out of the main tourist drag.
Cheers Thet.
I just turned up and took the next ferry but I'm told it is wise to book in high season.Originally Posted by daveboy

Where else do you intend to visit in April, Dave?Originally Posted by daveboy
Hi mate, that looks beautful.
What sort of prices do you pay for accommodation in somewhere like that?
Going south from Chiang Mai where I'm at now, thinking Koh Samui looks like paradise so will have to check it out..
Nice one

Lovely resort you got there Gus - I must've past it many times if where I'm thinking it is is correct - between Lamai and Hinta Hinyai? If so, great location!! Haven't been to Samui for 2.5 years now and sometimes really miss it. Never more than 10 minutes away from the beach, great western grub should u miss it and some decent watering holes.
Not forgetting filth everywhere.
^ Ahhh. Now I know where you are! Knew the previous Rocky Res owners years ago. Nice area. Is that fab artist still around in the Hinta village area (left going south on the ring rd)? He did lots of Buddha paintings but some with a mix of traditional and modern. Fab guy (blast, forget his name).
Having just spent time with Angus and family, i can only endorse what Thetyim. has said on here. The food, the people, the location are all perfect if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Chaweng. Ideal for all the hidden southern treasures the island has to offer and set back from the main road so you get peace and quiet alon with a nice mix of guests. Close enough to Lamai if you miss the night life.
I cannot speak highly enough of the welcome we received, or the effort that went into making our stay as enjoyable as possible. You need a car - sorted. You need to borrow an extension lead - sorted. You looking for Thai language tips - sorted. The feeling i got was one of a very happy family atmosphere where you can relax properly knowing that you have only to ask, and Angus will produce the goods.
Thanks for a brilliant stay mate, i will be down your way for a services reunion soon and it's too far to tavel back full of beer so guess where i will be staying? Hope you have some paracetomol handy.
If anyone deserves the help of members on this site when tourism is suffering, it is this place, not out of pity, but because it really does do what it says on the tin.. Very highly recommended.
Heart of Gold and a Knob of butter.
Name and location logged ,expect me some time
^^ Thanks Chas, you've got me all teary now. (can't find a teary smiley)
