Already went to Koh Mook, Libong, Krabi via Trang, then back to Bkk.
Weather was pefect and we never argued once, as I was right most of the time.
Pat when we going to see your backpacking pics?
Well we didn't backpack per se, I took my regular sports holdall and she had a small rucksack, travelling light. We stayed at resorts with aircon & tv, not hostels.
A load of the photos are in the 'post a photo' thread. WE left on the 31st Jan so there's a guide to the date.
A few from here onwards:

Didn't bother with a thread for pics.
And apparently I was skint, as one member said on page 1.
^Oops. Forgive me. We didn't but was planned. We almost did. But the peace and quiet of koh mook had already done our heads in. We headed straight to Krabi instead
Mook too quiet? Ao Nang too busy?
^Pretty much yes.
Mook was fine for the 3 nights but you can only sit around on white beaches, drink smoothies, eat in the jungle and swim in the sea for so long. That's why we left Libong of the itenary and headed for Krabi town. Rented a bike, saw a few sights, hated the hellhole Ao Nang then went back to Trang.
Trang could be a lot worse but its only really a passing through place. One night is fine. Night market, muslim food and playing on the parked trains was as sanook as it got.
The cave in Trang is a good day out. Called Tham Lae Khao Kob. Unique experience. Lots of great tours from Ao Nang. AN itself is just a base. Thai food in AN is crap. Near Krabi Town they have hot springs and a crystal lagoon. Heaps of stuff to do. I did 3 nights in Trang town. Can do a 4 island tour from there. Krabi is worth a week if doing tours.

Last time at stayed at Nopphorat, around the corner from Ao Nang. Great deal paid 1000 baht for 4 star hotel low season. They rent for 3000 baht in high season. Even Ao Nang isnt that busy mid year. Best time to go. They discount day tours as well which they dont seem to do in Chiang Mai. 600 to 1000 baht for full day tours.
Did Ao Nang in May almost 2yrs ago. Hell of a lot quieter, rain and storms though. Power cut at hotel during the night. Crap gf l was with couldn't even spice things up for us...which we argued about.
So that was a pretty crap time.
