    Good pics for sure.
I love snorkelling as its a whole new world under the water. Nearly killed myself in bali when I went out too far. '97 Crap coral and limited fish anyway.

And then on the ferry to Phi Phi in '01 I sat outside in the sun too long and my head swelled so much I couldn't put the mask on for 3 days. I looked like elephant man

nice pics terry! also the first time i understand what you're talking about

koh tao is my favorite island in thailand. i go there every year in october, stay in one of the beaches that you posted and stay friend with the gecko. the first trip in rocky, i have closely encounter this little piece of nature. i screamed "tuk kae!!!". the four girls dispersed in different directions. the poor gecko was chased by the worker and beaten to dead, poor little thing. i learn the lesson not to scream whenever i see it again.

the road is tough as your pic portrays. i fell off the motorbike on the third day. after that, i prefer to be on foot or the pick-up. i noticed that a number of tourists have bandages or casted here and there. it might be from the road condition but it surely makes koh tao more memorable to many including me.

the last time i went, ban was expanding its business. the new bungalows're being built. however i have to say that it's painful any time i visit any beautiful beach in the kingdom, there tend to be more and more ugly concrete buildings coming up, worse- painted in sickly blue. can't they just keep the simplicity of the hut or at least white paint.

anyway, thanks a lot for bringing back the memory of fun time in koh tao.

Great pics -- will definitely have another look at Koh Tao. But the island Nang Yuan - I've heard good things about it, but it gets quite crowded with day-trippers. There's one resort on the island, and they charge 1500 a night minimum for the shitty fan rooms, and they turn off the electricity during the day. But still worth a visit if you can afford it.

    yes,

the durianfan is 135% correct about naun yuan. the only reason you would stay here is if one had a top little stunner on the go and wished to chonk it up her all night long , but one must get an air con room or one would sweat one's bolliks off.

anyway we digress and back to koh tao we will go.

i consider this is the half way mark on my thread, you fellas have had a nice cup of tea and a few bongs, so you should be well relaxed and ready for some top inside information heading your way.

ya dont go to koh tao in the tourist season as its full as a brides naughty bit. that means " december, jan, feb." ok.

March and april are hot as hell but great for diving as the water is dead calm, but make sure you get an air con bungalow.

rest of the year is worth a punt as prices for bungalows are lower, the human population is less, combined with some cracking weather at times.

i like the middle of the wet season " june, july " as its pisses with rain and when it stops everything is clean, refreshed and cooled.

anyway, it dont piss all day long and then the sun comes powering through, unless your unlucky and then it could piss for a fuking week.

if that happens the thai navy have to come and get your sorry arse out of there if you got to get back home.

but dont worry about that, as it dont happen often and its a top reason to be shagging your lovely little stunner day and night.

the smart money is on august, september and october.

november and early december are good if your a duck.

    anyway,

we've seen koh tao from around the island and now i'll show you some lovely piccy's that were taken 10 weeks ago from a walk around one day.

and for fuk sake, pay attention as i'll be asking questions afterwards.
