    No bad experiences, except that it can be a bit chilly in the winter,the set off was that there is great Skiing, there isn't the same opportunity for sailing which was my first love.
    I remembrance it as a great place for kids to grow up, particularly if one is keen on outdoor pursuits, Fishing, shooting tramping, all easily available.
    Although going back to Christchurch now it seems a Little boring, but at the time of growing up it wasn't a factor, as there seemed to be plenty to do.
    In retrospect, if I was now given the choice of where to spend my childhood, it would be there.
