So you're holding Americans responsible for the state of affairs in Pattaya today because it was a R&R spot for GI's 40 years ago?

Actually I think it is something of an urban myth that Pattaya was an R&R destination for soldiers and marines stationed in Vietnam. I believe the virtually all of them went to Bangkok and rarely strayed from the bars on Petchburi Road.

Pattaya was favorite place for the Navy and Air Force people stationed at Utapao and Korat, but from the Vietnam vets I know, they all went to Bangkok.
