Tragic Jealous “Facebook” Murder Suicide near Pattaya

Police were informed of the tragic murder suicide of a Thai couple in Sattahip on Saturday. The fatal incident is thought to have occurred over a husband’s jealousy with his wife’s presence on popular social networking website “Facebook.”

Sattahip, the 17th of July 2010 [PDN]: At approximately 10:30am on the Saturday, police Lieutenant Colonel Teerawat Junsripatch (Plutaluang Police Investigator) was notified of a murder suicide in Soi Kaomon, Plutaluang, Sattahip.

A team of investigators along with medical personnel from the Sattahip Hospital were immediately dispatched to the incident to investigate.

At the scene, a single storey house, officers discovered the dead bodies of Mr. Jumras Sangsan [48] and Mrs. Bunyat Sangsan [35] lying on the floor inside the residence.

Both of the deceased had suffered gunshot wounds to the temple whilst a .38 calibre revolver was found lying near the deceased.

Further investigation uncovered the presence of a suicide note reportedly written by Mr. Jumras.

In the note, he professed his love for his wife and explained that he could not bear to see her leave him for another man.
“I love her so much and I cannot live without her.
I would rather die with her than seeing her leave me for another man.
With love, I have to end our lives like this.
Please take care of our child for us,” explained Mr. Jumras in the suicide note.

Resultant investigations with the mother of Mrs. Bunyat, Mrs. Nittaya, found that the couple had been fighting regularly regarding Mrs. Bunyat’s correspondence with several men on the social networking website “Facebook.”

Mrs. Nittaya explained to police that on the morning of the incident she had discovered her gun missing and decided to go round to her daughter’s house, where she found the couple dead before informing police.

Both of the deceased were sent to the Sattahip Hospital for post-mortem examination while officers have compiled a report on the incident and collected the evidence for further examination.

FaceBoook is a massive point of contention when it comes to Thai / Farang couples as well - the farang guy invariably is a total idiot, mostly brought upon by his compete misunderstanding of technology, and Thais need to be social.

Then again, most farang guys follow the same script when they meet their one and only teerak, and it always ends in divorce at the end of the day - some of it, undoubtedly, in violence as well.

Here is what I am hoping for... that some day, all men - and women - will understand that all men - and women - all over the world are the same.

Thai men are jealous. Western men are jealous. Whatever. There's a very thin layer of cultural paint applied to the same human beings all around the world. The paint is different, what's beneath is the same, our lives revolve around family, love, kids, work, it's the same thing everywhere. All that is really important is the same.

You'd think this understanding would start with the well travelled?! The expats?

Putting Facebook in the headline is smart - that will garner lots of eyeballs. Even though pathological jealousy has nothing to do with any website. Which... should be obvious?!?!

We have just had a case here in Aus where some Aussy bastard killed his 3 kids because his Bitch was going to leave him.

Gutless piece of shite he was.

At the end of the day if the wife is going to leave you there aint fok all one can do about it so just get on with it and go get another slapper.

Not worth topping them as its a waste of good drinking time.
