Aren't there more Thais than foreigners visiting national parks?

Why not double the prices for Thais, sure they'd be willing to cough up an extra 10-20bt to see their national heritage and support the maintainance of it?
And the tourists would feel better about paying 'only' five times more than the locals (after they already paid 'special' prices for the transportation there).
