LATEST NEWSSignificant drugs seizure by Pattaya Police.

This press conference comes from Pattaya Police Station and was organized by Police Lieutenant Colonel Sutum who announced a significant class 1 drugs arrest from Central Pattaya. Working on information received, Police swooped on room number 307 at the Nawin Mansions. Inside the room Police found three people, two men and one woman ingesting Crystal Met-Amphetamine known here in Thailand as “Ya-Ice”. A total of 20g of the drug was seized along with 28,000 Baht in cash and drug taking paraphernalia. The group were taken back to Pattaya Police Station and confessed to selling the drug to customers from around Pattaya. They were all charged with possession and dealing in a class 1 illegal drug and are now in the hands of the local courthouse.

Our News is Always NewLATEST NEWSTourist Police arrest drug dealer in South Pattaya.
Saturday 27th May 2006
Police Captain Chirawat, a sub-inspector at Pattaya’s Tourist Police Division and officer-in-charge at their Walking Street unit received information from an informant of a man dealing in drugs in Soi Yensabai, South Pattaya. Details such as a description of the suspect, the make and model of the bike he was driving along with the time he will arrive at the location were given and a plan was formulated to catch him. The information provided was accurate and Tourist Police officers managed to arrest Khun Wishai. He was searched and was found to be carrying 36 packets of the class 5 drug Marijuana, a bag containing a white powder which was determined to be a harmless substance and a variety of tablets including medication but no controlled substances. A Police check revealed that he was a previous offender. He was charged with dealing in a class 5 drug and is now behind bars and may be facing many years in a prison cell if he is convicted of the crime.

Inside the Suspect Identification Room of Pattaya Police Station a press conference was held to announce the arrest of Khun Boonee aged 25 who was caught in possession of 25 Yabba Tablets. Police Colonel Nopadon, the acting Chief of Pattaya Police was in attendance along with arresting officer, Police Captain Somporn. He was arrested behind the Thahee Temple in Central Pattaya after a routine patrol stumbled upon the man sitting on his stationary motorbike in a poorly lit section of the road. He informed officers that he bought the tablets from an agent in Bangkok for 200 Baht per tablet and was intending to resell the drugs for 350 Baht per tablet. He was charged with serious class 1 drugs offences and could spend many years behind bars if convicted of the crime.
