Missing Australian Man Found Deceased on Freedom Beach in Patong

Rescue workers have recovered the body of an Australian tourist who had been reported missing earlier this week. The deceased, identified only as Mr. Anthony, was found floating in the waters off Freedom Beach.

The Karon Police told the Phuket Express that they were notified of the incident by staff at the Freedom Beach recreation area early on the morning of Saturday (May 10th). Initial examinations indicate that the man had been deceased for approximately three days.

Prior to this discovery, a representative of a local hotel had filed a missing persons report on Friday (May 9th), stating that Mr. Anthony had last been seen on May 7th at Karon Beach, where witnesses claimed he had jumped into the sea and never resurfaced.

Further investigation linked the identification of the recovered body to documents Mr. Anthony had left with a massage parlor employee, confirming the match. Personal belongings and a water bottle labeled with the hotel’s branding were also among the recovered evidence.

"Tourists should not go in the sea during these conditions when there are strong waves, unless they are with an experienced guide."
Should have finished after 'strong waves'.

Charleigh described her brother as 'very outgoing'.

Corey would light up any room he walked into.

'He was a bit of a s*** stirrer,' she said.

'He had his own personal slang. He'd come home and ask how your day was and if you said you'd had a bad day he'd ask you "are you loving it" over and over until you caved.

'He'd go to work on a Monday morning when the boys were all tired and he'd go around and say "are you loving it" to get under their skin.'

A number of Mr Walsh's friends got 'forever loving it' tattooed on them in his memory.
sounds severely "neurodivergent" to use the current vernacular.

Corey would light up any room he walked into.
hopefully she wont be using that quote when giving her epitaph at his cremation.
