Earlier at 1:09 a.m., police from Thong Lor Police Station responded to another emergency. A report from a condominium complex on Soi Sukhumvit 24 was received. A woman had fallen from an apartment balcony.
Emergency responders from Samitivej Hospital were already on site when officers arrived.
They found a woman’s body on a fourth‑floor terrace of the building. She was 41‑year‑old Orkhon Lkhamsuren, the wife of the Mongolian ambassador to Thailand.
She had fallen from the 17th floor of her residence. Initial reports say she landed on a fourth‑floor terrace. Her husband, Tumur Amarsanaa, was present and tried to help before bringing her to the ground level.
Medical staff pronounced her dead at the scene. Investigators saw no signs of forced entry or struggle. As in Phuket, police are reviewing security footage and taking witness statements.
Although the cause remains unclear, emotional distress is suspected. However, all possibilities are being examined. Building staff and residents are being interviewed for further details.
