On May 9th, 2025, at 5:30 PM, security personnel at Bristol Park, a residential estate located at Soi Thung Rahar in the Huay Yai Subdistrict, apprehended a notorious thief dubbed the “Spiderman” for his wall-climbing antics. The suspect, identified as 30-year-old “Nong,” was caught red-handed after scaling the village’s high walls to commit burglaries, causing damages estimated at over one million baht.
According to Mr. Anatti Wiwattanannon, head of security at Bristol Park, the incident unfolded at 3:00 AM when an alarm was triggered, and CCTV footage captured a Thai male suspect wearing a black tank top, short jeans, and a cap attempting to climb the 4-5 meter-high perimeter wall. Initially failing to scale the barrier, the suspect returned with a piece of wood to aid his climb, successfully breaching the estate. However, security guards, who had strategically positioned themselves, swiftly detained him upon entry. A search revealed a black backpack containing bolt cutters, a screwdriver, and other tools.
Mr. Supachai Boonsuk, a 39-year-old resident and previous victim, revealed that the same thief had broken into his home twice before, stealing gold-framed amulets, a television, and cash, with losses exceeding one million baht. Despite prior police reports filed at Huay Yai Police Station, the culprit had evaded capture until this latest incident. Mr. Supachai expressed relief at the security team’s success in preventing another burglary, noting that the thief had targeted multiple homes in the village over time.
The suspect was handed over to Huay Yai Police Station for further investigation. The village’s management committee urged all affected residents to file complaints and identify the suspect at the police station to ensure he faces the full extent of the law.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to uncover the full scope of the thief’s activities and recover stolen property.
