Three people were injured and a truck was damaged when two suspected insurgents threw two pipe bombs onto a road in southern Thailand’s Yala province yesterday evening.

One of the devices was a dud, police said.

CCTV installed on Siroros Road, in Muang district, recorded the attack, which occurred around 7.30pm. It shows the assailants, wearing helmets, arriving at the scene on a motorcycle with no license plate.

Police say the suspects parked their bike on the side of the road, then ran back towards road and threw the pipe bombs at moving traffic.

The injured were rushed to Yala Hospital.
