Thread: Pattaya Gears Up for the Spectacular 2023 International Fireworks Festival

Preparations are in full swing for the highly anticipated Pattaya International Fireworks Festival 2023, scheduled to dazzle audiences on November 24th and 25th along the picturesque shores of Pattaya Beach.


Chaired by Ms. Thithiphan Pettrakul, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya, and Pol. Col. Patikorn Sornchai, Chonburi Deputy Police Commander, a comprehensive meeting was held on November 8th at Pattaya City Hall to finalize plans for the grand event.

The annual Pattaya International Fireworks Festival aims to elevate the city’s national profile, boost its image, and stimulate the local economy while promoting sustainable economic growth.

To ensure a seamless experience for attendees, key arrangements were discussed covering safety of fireworks displays, medical support, emergency services, sanitation, mobile food vendors, and quality assurance checks for food and beverages. Additionally, traffic management strategies were outlined to enhance safety and facilitate smooth flow during the festivities.


During the event, Beach Road will be exclusively reserved for pedestrians, creating a safe, car-free zone from 3 PM until midnight. Further enhancing convenience two designated pick-up and drop-off points will be established from 3 PM to 1 AM. The first will be located in front of Wat Nongyai for access to North Pattaya and the Pla Loma Roundabout and the second at the Lotus South Pattaya for entry to South Pattaya Big C Department Store and the Pattaya City 8 School.

In addition to traffic management measures, law enforcement agencies, along with relevant authorities, will establish checkpoints, conduct inspections, and maintain a vigilant presence along the entirety of Pattaya Beach and the event area. These efforts are aimed at guaranteeing the safety and security of both the public and tourists throughout the Pattaya International Fireworks Festival 2023.

If it’s not some corporate sponsored do, it’s some big bollox celebrating his birthday, if it ain’t some hiso wedding it’s the fucking year of the Cat or Warthog, if it ain’t New Year’s Eve, it’s fucking Halloween, if it ain’t a celebration of a condo topping out, it’s the annual convention for vegans, if it ain’t the international exhibition for silicon tits it’s the world championships of one legged netball, it doesn’t fucking matter, they always, always have a fucking fireworks show as if everyone in the world is like them, a permanently retarded child excited by the spectacle of some pyrotechnics.

I recall from last year that they actually split each night into two separate shows, one at 1930 hrs the next around 2130 hrs.

For about ten - fifteen minutes folk go “ ooh, aah “ and then shuffle up and down Beach Road wondering where to go next.
