Seven Domestic Tourists Injured in Minivan Accident in Mae Hong Son, Thailand

Seven people have sustained injuries after a minivan carrying Thai tourists slammed into a tree in Mueang Mae Hong Son, northern Thailand.

The Mok Jam Pae Police were notified of the accident on Friday (October 20th) on No. 4001 Road (Pa Peak – Top Sok Road) in Mok Jam Pae. Police and emergency responders arrived at the scene at a road curve 500 meters before the Pa Suea Waterfall.

The damaged minivan had plunged into a tree. Two people including the minivan driver sustained moderate injuries while five others sustained minor injuries. They were all taken to a nearby hospital. Their names were not disclosed by emergency staff.

Emergency responders told Thai media that the minivan was carrying Thai tourists from Sing Buri for travel in Mae Hong Son. When they arrived at the curve in the road, the driver, who was not familiar with the road, lost control of the minivan before colliding with the tree.

Every occurrence of the word "minivan" in this article should be preceded by the word "speeding".

I also notice in recent days that some dick in a pickup hammering down Doi Inthanon managed to smash into a Fortuner coming the other way and killed at least two.
