The entire point of not having a functioning rule of law applicable to all equally is that any vested interest can exploit the people to serve its own ends according to whatever system that ensures their primacy. This current cooperative of army, clan and cartel baronies, midwifed by the coup orchestrated by a senate appointed by the army, represents yet another alliance in which all shall benefit without any valid scrutiny to the detriment of the nation.

It’s the Thai way, and it will never change because this society is incapable of developing into anything other than what it already is, a medieval feudal serfdom.
