Thread: Three Teenagers Steal Box Full of Cannabis in Pattaya

A box full of marijuana worth 15,000 baht was stolen by a group of three teenagers in Pattaya today, May 30th, according to CCTV footage. Police are hunting for the thieves.

Pattaya Police received a report from Mr. Apiphu Umwong, 45, a motorbike taxi driver operating at the entrance of Soi 8 in Pattaya of Banglamung district, Chonburi province, stating that his cannabis box, containing organic marijuana worth over 15,000 baht, had been stolen.

Upon receiving the report, the police investigative team proceeded to the scene to inspect the CCTV cameras.


According to the recordings, police discovered three suspicious teenage boys walking from Pattaya Beach to the area where the box was located. The group then paused when they noticed Mr. Apiphu’s box left unattended on a chair in front of a convenience store near Soi 8.

The group of teenagers then conversed for a while before one of them who wore a black shirt and white pants approached the box before returning to converse with the other two teens. He then took off his shoes, snatched the marijuana, and ran away from the scene with his friends.


Mr. Apiphu stated that he proceeded to report the incident to the police after seeing that his cannabis box was gone after he came back from dropping off a passenger. He urged the police to find the teenage thieves as quickly as possible because it was expensive.

The victim did not state his purpose of possessing a box full of cannabis.
