From a previous (2016) and similar Twin Otter crash in Nepal:

The Commission concludes that the probable cause of this accident was the fact that despite of unfavourable weather conditions, the crew's repeated decision to enter into cloud during VFR flight and their deviation from the normal track due to loss of situational awareness aggravated by spatial disorientation leading to CFIT accident.

^ that happened a few times with me on flights to Bharatpur where you descend to the plains, you have to fly through some reasonably tight mountains and when the weather is bad and low cloud you can't see F all and the pilots on two occasions had to yank on the stick as they'd veered off course. Hated flying in Nepal but the bus wasn't an option most of the time and when it was it was safer in the plane.

Note to self, "Go the old fashioned way to small Nepalese towns in the mountains...even if it takes a day."
