BANGKOK (NNT) - The Ministry of Labor aims to send 100,000 Thai workers overseas this fiscal year, which officially began on Oct 1.


Labor Minister Suchart Chomklin said about 89,000 people were sent overseas by brokers or Thai employers for temporary jobs or training programs, and under the ministry’s labor export agreements.


He said a further 11,000 people secured jobs in South Korea, Japan, Israel and Taiwan as arranged by the Department of Employment.
