Surely not??
Surely not??
Not as much as it would have tickled BLD, obviously.
^i never doubted you, big fella. A proper bloke.
Terry, on the other hand with a 6th finger donning a pair of Gernan budgie smugglers
First eye has been done, the left one which was weaker.
There's a flickering in it but if I close the right eye I can read this screen better than my right eye can already and see better through it without my specs on now.
Anyone else have the flickering?
It wasn't as painless as I thought it would be. Quite a nauseous experience really. The first eyeclamp hurt a bit and all the freezing cold eyedrops weren't pleasant. The worse bit was near the end when he kept moving the new lens around.
Took about 20 minutes all in, not the 10 that he said.
I have 3 loads of eyedrops, an eyeshield and a pair of cheap sunglasses and go back tomorrow, where they will check the eye before moving onto the next one.
The left eye is still dilated on its own and will take 4-6 hours to get back to normal so hopefully it settles down.
All through the surgery this song was playing...
The first thing you see when having the surgery is what I'd picture as what those on their deathbed see, white lights and clouds and I'm sure there were pearly gates.
Gotta go stick my eyeshield on, which isn't darkened btw and have a nap.
Glad that it went well.
Good luck with the recovery Dill, can you see your stomach now?
^not allowed to bend down
Thanks
Are you sure the worsening of your eyesight isn't just due to an...erm...lifestyle change since you left Patterz for Malaysia?
I'm reading this in a pair of sunglasses. First time in decades that I can actually see anything in sunglasses without prescription lenses.
The flickering is dying down now but still thinking something is blocking my vision from the left until I look left. It seems circular so maybe the lens protruding and will bed in when it heals?
If I close my right eye now the difference and detail from near and far is amazing.
Its like looking through an out of focus pair of binoculars and then tuning the dial to perfect.
I should have done this years ago.
Next up, some botox on these crowsfeet I never saw before
do not look into laser with your one remaining eye
'Isn't the difference amazing' . . . said everyone who has had this done. Yup. Congrats, Dill
He said it should go away in 3 days.
Just had the right eye done, turned up late and stinking of alcohol
Back in bed and looking forward to waking up without a dilated right pupil and what should be 90% vision.
Glad it's all over now.
Well
Just woke and dilation in right pupil has gone, eyes are a bit puffy, vision a little blurry, the odd flickering in both eyes and can vaguely see the outside curvatures of both lenses now, which he reckons will take 3 days to go away.
Left eye seems to be a little better than the right, which has only just been done, so that should only improve.
I can read all food labels now and if this is 90% vision, then really looking forward to what 100% is.
It's great being spectacle free and one less thing to carry around.
Gonna go buy some decent shades now.
So a week or so after the surgery, how's it going?
