Nong Pla Lai - American commits suicide

American commits suicide in his home after recent accident left him disabled.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Wiwat made his way to house number 14/3 in Soi Nong Get Yai 9 in Nong Pla Lai to investigate a suspected suicide of an American resident. Police were met at the scene by the Son of the deceased, Mr. Franklin Lynman Nooner, who mentioned that his father was involved in an accident 6 months ago which left him with brain damage resulting in physical disabilities. The victim, Mr. Franklin Nooner Snr. had attempted suicide on two previous occasions. This time, he had placed a plastic bag around his head and tied it tightly with a shoe lace. There were two suicide notes next to the bed signed and dated by the deceased which confirmed he no longer wanted to live because of his disabilities which were severely affecting his quality of life. Police inspected the body of Mr. Nooner inside the master bedroom and confirmed that nothing was found inside the room suggesting foul play, however they will await the results of a post mortem examination before they confirm that suicide was the cause of death.

Very sad. He must have felt so alone.

If he had a good friend this would likely not have happened.

    Very sad story.

And poorly written. How is it that the policeman and the house number are seen as more important than the deceassed or type of death?

Jorno kissin the copper's ass by getting his name at the top of the story.
I see this a lot here.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Wiwat made his way to the site of the tsunami where 5,000 people were killed....

The guy did his homework in terms of methodology. I imagine the autopsy will show an overdose of sleeping pills beyond the obvious use of the plastic bag. A real boyscout.

Well at least not like the one last year that had tied a bag over his head and taped his hands behind his back.
Now that guy was damn serious about it..

Strange family to leave father alone after attempting 2 suicide attempts in the last 6 months. But if ones determined enough he would succeed anyway. What a waste.

If you had a close relative pleading and pleading with you to let them die for weeks on end, what would you do.
If you were convinced that they truly did not want to live any longer why should you not let them make their own decision.

I don't want to get into any arguement here but if the person is suicidal then he is not of sound mind and obviously isn't level headed enough to think logically. His family should have had him put in a secure unit until as such time his suicidal tendancies had been brought under control. For me I've been that low but fortunately had people who saw the signs and gave me help, thankfully. Assisting a suicide, which what you're indicating possible took place, just because someone's disabled isn't the way forward. He basically committed suicide because he wasn't of sound mind which is correctable, given the chance.

Why not, seemed to be funny last year when it was the dude in Pattaya, and this dude wanted to go out, so whats wrong with that.

If something happen to him and made his life unendurable to live as he had to now then whats wrong with him wanting out?
I would want that option, if I was fuked up and had to set in a wheelchair or some such thing I know I would prefer a painless death to living in pain and confinement.
I had an uncle that had an op on his guts, they took most of his stomach out, he was sick and in pain most of the time so he went out in the yard and bit the end of a 30 Cal rifle and he was in pain no more, I can see nothing wrong with it.
When I get older and get where I can not get around I will want a nice easy out, I have lived a good life, and have done what ever I have wanted to do and it would be a bitch to have to live as my dad did the last 11 years of his life in a wheelchair and not even be able to go to the shitter by himself,, but he would rather have lived that way that die, I wouldn't want it my self.
And when I go I do not want a bunch of assholes setting around crying about it, I had fun living so why should a bunch of friends not have a party.

Not so strange in Thailand, especially if he had become a burden and had money in the bank. I wonder who tied the bag for him.

Oh I wouldn't worry about that if I were you. I expect it's the least of your worries.
