Thread: 63-year-old man murders chicken thief with hammer in Phayao

A 63-year-old man has been arrested for murdering a 32-year-old man who stole one of his chickens in Phayao on Sunday, July 14.


The murder itself took place in Moo 3 Na Prang Subdistrict, Pong District July 12.


The murderer, Mr. Surasak Maneechai, told police that he had lost his temper with Mr. Kornsak Mullanee after he caught his neighbor stealing one of his chickens. Apparently, it wasn’t the first time Mullanee had been stealing chickens either.


Mr. Maneechai battered Mullanee to death with a hammer before throwing his body in a nearby waterway. He’s not surprisingly been charged with murder and has been detained in custody pending a court hearing.

Lot of that goes on in Baan Nok, Thailand. The residents all know they will only increase a problem if they get the police involved.
