Soldier murders 13-year-old wife, commits suicide in Mae Ai

A soldier killed his 13-year-old wife before killing himself in a tragic murder-suicide in Mae Ai yesterday, May 27.

The bodies were discovered at a house in Moo 11 Tha Tom at around 9:30 a.m.

According to reports, the couple – 29-year-old Phol Tawarapong, an army officer serving under the 2nd Infantry Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment in Chiang Dao and his victim, Kalaya Chum Fu had been living and sleeping together for the last three months.

Relatives told police that the couple often argued with Tawarapong said to be jealous of his wife’s friends.

Fu was found dead with multiple stab wounds while Tawarapong hung himself.

Notably, the age of consent in Thailand is 15, meaning that Tawarapong, under Thai law, was a pedophile.

Perhaps the new sex offences law recently introduced tipped him over the edge.

If the victim is under 15, whether with or without his/her consent, the offender is liable to imprisonment for between 5-20 years and a fine of between 100,000-400,000 baht.
If the victim is under 13, the imprisonment could be for life and a fine of between 140,000-400,000 baht.

Whether it's illegal or not marriage (village) of girls age 12-13 up is still acceptable. It is mainly acceptable due to sin sot being paid. Money speaks.

Yeah, but everyone knows about the hua ngu that pay the money, consumate, then demand the sin sot back for some reason. There was a much publicised case year before last with a Chiang Mai official.

NB. I think you need to say "accepted" rather than "acceptable". There's a difference.

    Shocking.

See a farang going to a temple with their arms exposed and "outraged Thai netizens" are all over it like a cheap suit, but have an adult fucking a kid in their neighbourhood and they won't say a word.
