PHUKET, 18th September 2018 (NNT) – The Governor of Phuket, Norrapat Plodthong, announced the progress of the light rail transit project.
Mr. Norrapat presided over the press conference on the progress of the light rail transit at Phuket City Hall on Tuesday (Sept 18). The event was attended by the Deputy Governor of Phuket, Sanit Sriwihok, the Director of the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand’s Mass Rapid Transit Project Development, Katphajon Udomthamphakdi, the Chief of Phuket Provincial Office of Public Relations, Bussaya Jaipiam, and heads of government agencies in Phuket.
The Phuket Governor said the light rail project will be built from Baan Tha Noon in Phang Nga province, north of the island, to Chalong Circle with a proposed budget of 39.4 billion baht.
He said the project is now in the process of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and the Public-Private Partnership study.
