BANGKOK, 14 April 2018 (NNT) – The government will allocate an additional 300,000 baht in Village Fund to some 66,000 villages throughout the country.
Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Minister Suwapan Tanyuwatthana said the money is part of a supplementary budget of 200 billion baht approved by the National Legislative Assembly to stimulate the grassroots economy.
It is essential to disburse funds that will stimulate investment and the economy in general under the government's Pracharat scheme, he said.
The money will be awarded to about 66,000 village funds. They will be granted up to 300,000 baht each, said the PMO Minister.
